The Honeycomb of Memory

The Honeycomb of Memory is an allegory of the Dark Mother and the somatic living experience of one of society’s deepest wounds. Women and individuals who are unable to fit into society for one reason or another growing up in the relentless machine of our modern world, marginalized by lack of care for the individual, results in total neglect and abandonment leading to broken homes and a continuous cycle of neglect and abuse. By giving voice to my unique story I hope to touch on the universal themes of this issue and give voice to all those who are unable to share and speak for themselves.

The piece was written as a ritual and takes the spectator on a spiritual journey highlighting the struggles between mother-daughter relationships, alcoholism, schizophrenia, guilt, society’s hive mind, memory, hope, transformation and integration.

The Honeycomb of Memory premiered with Anima: Theater of the Feminine Underground at Center Stage Theater in Santa Barbara and was a SOLD-OUT show performed on May 14 and 15, 2026.
