Marie-Pier Tremblay is a French Canadian and Moroccan Multidisciplinary Artist who weave together living experiences, visions and mythology. Marie-Pier was born and raised in Quebec, Canada and spent her childhood in and out of foster homes after being separated from her mother who suffered from schizophrenia and alcoholism. The chaotic childhood and lack of family connection was fertile ground and after spending early adulthood working in strip clubs she was ready for creative catharsis and raw emotional liberation. She left the underworld with her home on her back and began a healing journey, which eventually led her to California.  Here she began to reveal from within herself the space between beauty and terror, the bridge between sex and silence. Her process includes; storytelling, drawing, face-painting, photography, sourcing garments from the Middle East and in the making of her own Ceremonial Couture. Marie works in her home studio in Santa Barbara where she improvises with simplicity, performing with the elements, the soil and the sea.
